What’s the difference between raised and standard Loft Boarding?
With standard loft boarding, loft boards are placed directly onto the joists. This is the fastest way to board a loft, however, it isn’t suitable for the majority of lofts, especially if you have insulation, wiring, pipework or downlights installed.
To avoid the problems presented by standard loft boarding, we only install Raised Loft Boarding. This is usually in the central area of the loft, allowing for the air to flow from the eaves and continue throughout the loft and under the loft flooring, lowering any risk or problems with damp or condensation.
