But there is an approved way to make the most of your New Build Loft space, and that is with our Raised Loft Boarding system that has been specially developed sit over and protect your insulation. Find out more below and view many examples from our recent loft boarding installs, which have been fitted for our customers across the West Midlands, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
How to board a loft without VOIDING your New Build Warranty
The LoftZone Raised Loft Boarding system is the only approved way to board your new build home without voiding your new build warranty. This is because the award-winning flooring was specially developed to protect high levels of loft insulation and creates a strong safe deck for loft storage or to create a loft access walkway for workman that may need access to your pipework, boiler, solar panel equipment etc.
How it works:
The Loftzone loft boarding system is comprised of supports made from extremely strong engineering grade plastic and aluminium cross beams. As you can imagine this creates a very strong and safe platform in your loft that surpasses the British Standard 6399-1:1996 for minimum imposed floor load requirements. It is the ONLY loft boarding system available in the UK to carry parts with the CE kitemark for British Standards. Loftzone Storefloor hold up to a MASSIVE 500kgs per square meter (independantly testied by www.ceram.com).
As the Leading Loftzone Installer in the Midlands we ensure all parts of our installations are are strong and safe. From the loft flooring to the loft ladders, loft lighting and truss shelving. we leave nothing at all to chance!
This is a new build house we installed our raised loft boarding system in at Wolverhampton. We created masses of extra storage space, even at the sides and used our best cutting techniques around the trusses to ensure there were no trip hazards. Most installers would lay an additional board between the trusses rather than cut neatly around them but we enjoy a challenge think it gives a much better finish and of course raises the safety levels.
Here we used 25m2 of our award winning raised loft building in the central area of the loft at a New Build home in Stourbridge. In these pictures you can the transformation from a large unusable space to the raised galvanised steel sub-frame being installed before finally the boards are fitted.
These two installs in Bromsgrove (left) and Newcastle Under Lyme (right) are perfect examples of New Build loft boarding to showcase our installer’s fantastic cutting skills. We used alot of intricate cutting but achieved a smooth even floor achieved by the end of the job. So even if your loft is a maze of trusses, there is still potential to transform it into useable storage space. Here you can also see how we used breathable membrane here to block off the insulation to give the job a slick finish.
Loft Boarding installed today for a new build property in Dudley. This time 18.5m2 of Loftzobe raised loft boarding, with a 3 section aluminium loft ladder and 2x fluorescent tube lights (not fitted in these pics as our Instaspark team member was en route).
Here is another example of our new build loft boarding, this time in Stafford. Here we installed 32m2 of the award winning LoftZone raised loft flooring in with a 2 section timber sliding loft ladder and a fluorescent tube light install by our sister company Instaspark.
Finally, here is a great example of how we can transform smaller new build lofts to create maximum storage. For this small new build in Walsall, using the LoftZone raised loft floor system, we laid 11.27m2 of flooring, a new loft ladder and truss shelving to both sides. Our electrical company Instaspark also fitted a new light and switch.
